Environment Canada has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch.
According to the weather authority, a line of thunderstorms approaching Ontario from Lower Michigan is capable of producing strong wind gusts and heavy rain.
Showers began in some areas Thursday afternoon with upwards of 10mm expected.
Radar is showing embedded isolated thunderstorms which will boost rainfall amounts to between 15 and 25 mm of rain.
