Environment Canada has ended a Special Weather Statement issued for Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent.
Five to 10 centimetres were expected Sunday.
According to Environment Canada, an arctic cold front will hit the region later this afternoon causing a sudden drop in temperature resulting in wet, snow covered roads becoming icy.
Tonight's overnight low is forecasted to be minus 13 C.
Environment Canada is urging motorists to allow for extra time if travelling and to drive according to the conditions.
