A dryer fire is strongly suspected in a house fire on Goyeau St. near Hanna St. E.
Crews were called to 1616 Goyeau St. shortly after 11am on a report of flames in the basement of the house.
Four people in the house at the time all got out safely.
The cause is officialkly being listed as undetermined and damage is set at $60,000.
Deputy Fire Chief Doug Goodings says they were able to limit damage with a quick attack in the house.

He says it started in the rear basement of the house and spread to the first-floor.
Investigators will have to pinpoint the origin, but it looks like it started in the laundry room area in the basement, Goodings added.
"Pretty extensive damage in the basement area," says Goodings "Minor damage on the first floor then you have heat and smoke damage on the second."
Goyeau St. from Hanna St. Eto Tecumseh Rd. E. have since re-opened.
