Damage is pegged at $150,000 after a basement fire in the 300-block of McLellan Ave. in Amherstburg on Tuesday evening.
Crews were called out to the fire shortly before 6pm.

Firefighters were greeted by heavy smoke when arriving on the scene.
Crews were able to knock back the flames quickly and the fire was declared out about an hour later, although there was heavy smoke damage throughout home.
The fire started in the basement crawl space, but crews were unable to determine the cause.
Everyone was able to get out of the home safely.
