The RCMP in Saskatchewan have made an arrest in a deadly bus crash that shocked the nation.
On April 6, 2018, a bus carrying the Humboldt Broncos hockey team crashed with a tractor trailer claiming the lives of 16 people.
Police have now charged the driver of the semi-tractor trailer, 29-year-old Jaskirat Singh Sidhu of Calgary, with 16 counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and 13 counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily injury.
Officers conducted 60 interviews as part of the investigation and took 6,000 photographs of the scene.
Police would not elaborate on the circumstances surrounding the crash including the cause as the case is now before the courts.
