A big change at the University of Windsor.
President Alan Wildeman will leave his post in June of 2018, saying it's the right time.
"You take a moment sometimes and take a look at what you set out to do," says Wildeman. "With a big institution like this there needs to continually be renewal and I felt there was a window of time here that I've been able to get a lot of things done that we've set out to do."
He made the announcement this morning during his State of the University address.
Wildeman has been with the school since July of 2008 and says he doesn't have any concrete plans after he leaves next year.
"The changing enrolment trends are really interesting and I think they'll continue to define the university," he says. "I think we have a great story to tell how the campus is being built for people for students... very diverse student body. I see this university really holding its own in the post-secondary landscape."
