The University of Windsor has found its permanent replacement for retired former president Alan Wildeman.
Robert Gordon was appointed as the seventh President and Vice-Chancellor by the university's board of governors Friday.
Gordon comes from Wilfrid Laurier University where he currently serves as Provost and Vice-President Academic.
He's also served as a Canada Research Chair in the area of environmental resource management in recent years.
Gordon will take over the role Sept. 1.
Douglas Kneale served as interim-president following the retirement of Wildeman on June 30, 2018.
