There are two new candidates seeking a councillor's seat in Tecumseh.
Adam Ibrahim has filed his nomination papers and is seeking the ward four councillor seat.
This is his first time running for municipal politics but ran in June's provincial election in Windsor-West for the Progressive Conservatives.
He's up against the incumbent Brian Houston.
Meanwhile, there is another candidate seeking the councillor's seat in ward 3.
Retired OPP officer Rick Tonial has filed his nomination papers.
He served the municipality and the area for 30-years.
Tonial is up against the current ward three councillor Rita Ossington and Dwayne Ellis.
The municipal election is October 22nd.
