Matthew Boyd allows have a dozen runs in the Tigers loss in Minnesota

Johnny Field homered twice to help power the Twins to an 11-4 win over the Detroit Tigers in Minneapolis.  

Field's two-run shot in the fourth snapped a 4-all tie to put the Twins in front for good.

Minnesota tacked on five more in the fifth to pull away.

Tyler Austin also homered and Jorge Polanco had a three-run triple in the win.

Tyler Duffey got the victory with two hitless innings of relief.

Matthew Boyd surrendered six runs in less than four innings to take the loss.

Christin Stewart tripled and drove in two for Detroit.

Francisco Liriano is scheduled to make the start for the Tigers in Thursday night's MLB series finale.
