Tyler Austin drives in three runs to pace Minnesota to a 53 victory at Comerica Park

Tyler Austin went 2-for-4 with three RBI as the Twins beat the Tigers 5-3 in Detroit.

Austin broke up a scoreless game with an RBI single in the sixth and doubled home two more in the seventh to stake Minnesota to a 5-0 lead.  

Jake Odorizzi pitched six-and-a-third innings of two-run ball for the win.

Trevor Hildenberger gave up a run in the ninth before posting his seventh save.  Daniel Norris dropped to 0-and-5 with the loss for Detroit.

Mikie Mahtook had two hits and three RBI for the Tigers, who have lost seven-of-nine.

In today's series finale, rookie Spencer Turnbull will make his first MLB start for Detroit.  

Turnbull made his Tigers debut Friday in Detroit's 5-4 win over Cleveland, retiring the Indians in order in the seventh inning.
