Turnbull held the Phillies to just three hits over six innings

The Detroit Tigers put an end to their four game MLB losing streak with a 3-1 win over the Phillies on the road.

Spencer Turnbull held Philadelphia to just three hits over six innings.

Niko Goodrum added a two-run homer for the Tigers in the win.

Detroit and Philadelphia wrap up their two game series Wednesday night.

Elsewhere around Major League Baseball, the Toronto Blue Jays fell to the Angels 4-3 on the west coast.

Brian Goodwin hit the tie-breaking homer in the eighth inning for L.A.

That series continues Wednesday as well.
