A Kitchener truck driver has been sentenced after being found guilty of importing nearly $4-million worth of cocaine across the border.
According to CTV Windsor, 59-year-old Drago Knezevic has been sentenced to 10 years in prison, minus 18 days credit.
Knezevic was stopped at the Ambassador Bridge in 2011 and two suitcases of cocaine valued at $3.9 million was found
He was given a chance to speak today in court and he maintained his innocence, saying he "didn't load the suitcases."
The defence had asked for three to four years, while the prosecution was looking for 10 to 12.
