Isolated tornadoes are possible across several states Thursday as Tropical Storm Michael moves across Georgia into South Carolina.
Michael is going into the books as the most powerful hurricane to hit the Florida Panhandle.
Two people were killed by falling trees in separate incidents when Michael roared ashore as a Category 4 storm yesterday with 250-kilometre an hour winds.
Roofs and awnings are peeled from buildings amid snapped trees, and chunks of beaches are washed away.
Authorities say search and rescue teams will be checking amid the storm debris today for anyone that may be trapped or injured.
