The trial of the former president of Crime Stoppers of Windsor-Essex charged with drug related offences is under way.
Jon Paul Fuller, 47, is charged with production and possession of marijuana along with drug trafficking following a drug bust on September 21, 2016.
At the time, the OPP seized 2,900 marijuana plants at a property at 1935 Fox Run Rd. in Leamington. The value of the drugs was about $2.9-million.
Two OPP officers have taken the stand on day one of the trial on Tuesday. One officer took photos of the marijuana while the other officer logged the exhibits into a master exhibit list.
The crown expects to call 29 witnesses during the trial which is scheduled for this week, with likely more trial dates in June.
Fuller pleaded not guilty.
