Just over a week now to Art in the Park at Willistead Park.
To kick off awareness of the event The Rotary Club of Windsor (1918) dedicated a tree to mark a milestone.
Event Chair Randall Winters says it's a special moment.
"We are dedicating this Red Oak tree in commemoration of our involvement in Art in the Park for the past 40 years at Willistead Park. This tree was donated by the City of Windsor and it represents something that's going to be here for a very, very long time"

Winters says Art in the Park has raised $1.3-million in 40 years, some goes toward the restoration of Willistead Manor.

He says the quality of the artists in the event are top level.
"The uniqueness of this festival is that you truly have to be an artist to be picked to be part of the 275. Nowhere else in Ontario are there that many artists that participate in an event like this"
The tree that's been dedicated is planted at the Devonshire Gate.
Winters couldn't guarantee it won't rain on the event June 2 and 3.
He says they're expecting around 25,000 people to attend over the two days.
Over the years Art in the Park has grown to include a spirit and Food Court, Kids Zone, Bike Valet and bus shuttles from 2 off-site lots.
