Both sides remain at the bargaining table to try and alleviate job action at Transit Windsor.
Amalgamated Transit Union Local 616 has issued a strike notice saying its 300 members - including drivers and mechanics - will hit the picket line at 12:01am on Monday, February 5th if a deal is not reached.
The two sides met with a federal mediator on Tuesday and Wednesday and both the union and Mayor Drew Dilkens confirm negotiations continue.
However, ATU International Vice President Manny Sforza tells AM800 news that "absolutely no progress has been made."
After the strike notice was served, the city issued a statement asking transit riders to prepare for alternate transportation arrangements.
A release from the union on Monday said, "the employer has made several creative attempts to erode the rights of these transit workers who are entitled to federally mandated 10 paid sick days - and they want to offset these days by reducing wages."
This is the second time that the union has issued a strike notice, the first one was rescinded in January.
Amherstburg, LaSalle, and Leamington would be affected if a strike does happen, as those municipalities have agreements with Transit Windsor.
