Police say attacker and victim knew each other

A trail of blood on the ground led Windsor police officers to the suspect in a weekend stabbing.

Police were called to the 500 block of Caron Avenue between Wyandotte St. West and Park St. West Saturday, December 16, 2018 about 6 pm.

They encountered a trail of blood droplets that led along a sidewalk and up to a residence.

Officers located a man with blood on his clothing and signs he had been in an altercation.

The man was arrested without incident.

The victim was located a short distance away and was taken to hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening injury.

Officers determined the stabbing had taken place in a residence and the men were known to each other.
