Construction headaches will continue into next year for those living in the Comber area.
Improvements are being made to Hwy. 77 from the 401 to County Rd. 46.
Lakeshore Councillor Linda McKinlay is worried about transport trucks using secondary roads to get through the town, but says it's all for the greater good.
"I don't think people are paying a lot of attention to the enormous number of trucks that go down Hwy. 77," says McKinlay. "These truck drivers will just take another route if they can and those roads aren't equip for that kind of weight. After all is said and done I think it's going to work out. I think Comber is a very strong community and we'll handle it and I think we're going to end up with a beautiful new main street."
An official with the Ministry of Transportation says concerns over secondary road damage due to increased truck use will be brought up to engineers and a report will come back to council at a later date.
Highway 77 improvements will last well into 2018.
