Two people have been treated for minor smoke inhalation after an early morning fire in east Windsor.
Windsor fire crews were called to the 3000 block of Meadowbrook Lane around 12:35 a.m. for a townhouse fire.
Chief Fire Prevention Officer John Lee says the fire started in the basement utility room and the cause has been listed as undetermined.
"When crews arrived, the two residents were already out of the townhouse," says Lee. "Both suffered mild smoke inhalation. They were both transported, treated and released."
According to Lee, it took about an hour to get the fire under control and the estimate for damage to contents and structure is $100,000.
Lee says the neighbouring units were not affected.
