Tigers Turn Back Cleveland

Jim Adduci drove in four runs in the win

Jim Adduci hit a three-run homer and drove in four runs as the Tigers topped Cleveland 6-4.

Francisco Liriano yielded three runs over seven innings to pick up the Detroit victory.  Mikie Mahtook also homered for the Tigers.

One day after clinching the AL Central title, Cleveland manager Terry Francona rested several starters.  Shane Bieber took the loss.

Josh Donaldson started at third base and went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts and is hitting .154 in four games with Cleveland.
