Tigers Trim White Sox in Series Finale

Daniel Norris earns his first win of the season as Detroit drops Chicago

Daniel Norris pitched five two-hit shutout innings to earn his first MLB win since 2017 as the Detroit Tigers nipped the Chicago White Sox 4-3 in Detroit.  

Shane Greene worked a spotless ninth for his 10th save.  

Gordon Beckham homered for the Tigers, who are 2-and-6 in their last eight games.

Tim Anderson and Leury Garcia delivered RBI-singles in a three-run White Sox eighth to cut the lead to one run.  

Chicago starter Reynaldo López struck out eight and allowed three runs, one unearned, in six innings to absorb the loss.

The White Sox lost for the third time in four games.

The Tigers are in Boston Monday night to take on the World Series champion Red Sox.
