Jose Iglesias homers in the Tigers win in Minnesota

Jose Iglesias hit a tiebreaking, two-run homer in the seventh and the Tigers went on to beat the Twins 9-6 at Target Field.

He finished 3-for-5 with three RBI and Ian Kinsler had three hits and drove in two for Detroit, which took two-of-three.  Matthew Boyd got the win and Justin Wilson his 12th save.

The Tigers are back home tonight to open a three-game series with the division-rival Royals at Comerica Park.

Justin Verlander is slated to start for Detroit and Jason Hammel for KC.  The Tigers are fourth in the AL Central at 45-and-52, six-and-a-half back.  KC comes in having won five in-a-row.
