Mike Minor tossed a complete-game five hitter as the Texas Rangers defeated the Detroit Tigers 4-1 in MLB action on Wednesday night.
Minor moved to 8-and-4 with the victory.
Willie Calhoun, Jeff Mathis and Danny Santana belted solo shots in the Texas fifth inning.
The Rangers won their fourth straight, while the Tigers have lost six in a row and 10-of-11.
Matthew Boyd took the loss, yielding four runs in seven innings and Brandon Dixon homered in defeat.
The Tigers will try to avoid a three-game sweep when they take on Texas Thursday afternoon at Comerica Park.
Stephen Turnbull starts for Detroit, while the Rangers send Ariel Jurado to the mound.
