Nicholas Castellanos had four hits, including a two-run homer, and drove in three for Detroit.
Nick Ramirez, the seventh Tigers pitcher, took the loss. Detroit has dropped 11-of-12.
James McCann, Yolmer Sanchez and Ryan Cordell each had two hits and two RBI as the White Sox defeated the Tigers 7-5 in the first game of a MLB day-night doubleheader.
