Tigers Drop 7th Straight

The slumping Tigers lose again, falling 97 to the As in Detroit

Jed Lowrie and Dustin Fowler singled in runs in the ninth inning to lift the A's to a 9-7 win over the Tigers in Detroit.  

Lowrie finished 4-for-4 with a home run and Chad Pinder also homered as Oakland overcame an early 6-0 deficit.  

Ryan Buchter got the win and Blake Treinen his 19th save.  

The A's have won eight of their last 10 games.  Shane Greene took the loss for Detroit.  

Niko Goodrum had a two-run double and Dixon Machado a two-run triple for the Tigers, who suffered their seventh straight loss.

Mike Fiers gets the start for Detroit tonight, against Oakland's Chris Bassitt.
