The Tigers club four homers off Justin Verlander in a 63 win over the Astros

The Tigers launched four home runs to power past the Astros 6-3 in Houston.  

John Hicks started things with a two-run shot and Niko Goodrum, Jim Adduci, and Jeimer Candelario hit solo-homers.

Drew VerHagen tossed three innings of one-run ball in relief of injured starter Francisco Liriano to earn the win.

Detroit enters the All-Star break at 41-and-57, 12-and-a-half games out of first in the AL Central.  

Justin Verlander gave up all four long-balls across six innings of work to take the loss.

Houston has a five-game lead atop the AL West at 64-and-35 heading into the break.

The Tigers enter the All-Star break in third place in the AL Central.  Detroit is 41-and-57, 12-and-a-half games behind the division-leading Indians.  

The Twins are second, seven-and-a-half games back.  

The Tigers host AL East-leading Boston on Friday.
