Thumbs are up for the Memorial Cup in Windsor.
Tourism Windsor-Essex Pelee Island CEO Gordon Orr is receiving positive responses from the public about the Mastercard Memorial Cup. He says he has talked to locals as well as out of town visitors about their experience and they're pleased.
Orr says fans are enjoying the activities at the WFCU Centre.
"They're coming early, they're experiencing the food zone and the concourse, they're buying the merchandise, they're going to wear their new pieces of apparel with pride and I think the host organizing committee has done an outstanding job," says Orr.
Orr says the public along with the teams are visiting area businesses.
"The hospitality industry embraces our visitors, they want to help make their experience that much better and that's a commitment the hospitality industry makes to the visiting public and we're really excited and pumped that the 99th edition of the Memorial Cup is right here in the city of Windsor," says Orr.
Orr believes out of town visitors will share their positive experiences in Windsor with others.
The Memorial Cup kicked off on Friday and wraps up on Sunday.
