The Windsor-Essex Children's Aid Society is investigating an incident at an Ottawa St. daycare in Windsor where three children allegedly managed to wander off the property.
Society Spokesperson Tina Gatt confirms the CAS is looking into the situation as the daycare operates as a caregiver.
Chelsea Butler posted on her Facebook page that a gate swung open at "La Garderie Les Petites Main" in the playground area and a worker didn't check to make sure it was closed.
Butler's two children got out along with another child.
According to Butler's Facebook post, the children were "running on the road" but no one was hurt.

Witnesses spotted the toddlers on the street and came to their rescue to help them.
Gatt applauds the people who stopped to help the children. "It really does speak to the strength of a community when there are people that are paying attention to other children and see that something is wrong, and in this case, these are very small children and it is easy to pick up that this didn't seem right."
AM800 News contacted the daycare's supervisor who said she couldn't talk as she was taking care of the children. She said they are replacing the teacher.
Windsor Police Sergeant Steve Betteridge says the police are not investigating.
