The Hospice of Windsor & Essex County is thanking the public.
Earlier today the grand total for this year's Face to Face campaign was revealed.
More than $84,000 was raised surpassing the fundraising goal of $65,000.
Campaign founder John Fairley says it's a proud day for his family.
"I thought maybe $5000 more maybe $70,000, I mean our biggest year was $75,000-$78,000 ever so when I saw 80 that just blew me away," says Fairley.
It was the 14th year for the campaign.
Money raised supports the hospice transportation program which is named after the Fairley family.
It was also announced the local hospice with the help of Unifor will be purchasing a new minivan for the program.
