There willl be something unusual along the Detroit waterfront today.
The newest and fastest vessel in the U.S. Navy, the U.S.S. Detroit, will dock infront of the Renaissance Centre.
It's 115 meters or 378 feet long and has a top speed of nearly 90 km/h.
It'll be commissioned October 22nd.
Public tours start next week in Detroit.
The ship will also pay a visit to Windsor as it docks along this side of the Detroit River from October 24th to the 27th, marking the first time ever that a U.S. warship has visited a foreign nation as its inaugural international port of call.
