The last few stragglers to get Goodfellows Christmas baskets picked them up at the location at Park Street and Church this morning.
At the same time a donation from Greg Lemay and Brady Thrasher was being brought in. The two friends teamed up to donate nearly 70 turkeys with all the fixings.
Lemay says this is one of several outreaches he does with his family.
"My daughter Ash and I, we head over to Street Help quite a bit and we were in there yesterday doing that, so I bring her and she gets a taste of that," says Lemay.
Goodfellows spokesman Gilbert Barichello says the donations from the community have made a huge difference this year.
"It went very well and very smooth, we had of course the very cold weather spell, but with warm receptions and the warm hearts we were able to get everything done," says Barichello.
For Christmas, Barichello says they packed food boxes for 34 agencies with nearly 2,000 gift boxes.
Barichello says this is the first year they can remember getting past their fundraising total, and they'll use the excess to build an inventory into 2017.
