A Windsor restaurant is offering all past and present Canadian and American military personnel a free entrée tonight.
City Grill Owner Matt Komsa says the restaurant started offering a free meal to veterans after the passing of a staff member's grandfather.
"Three years ago one of our employees, a very valued employee, his grandfather passed away around this time and he was a veteran so we decided to honour his memory. His name is Herb Jones," says Komsa.
Komsa adds "these veterans and military personnel put the greatest thing that they could put on the line and that's their lives and what we're doing is minimal and next to nothing compared to what they do so I'm just glad we can do something for them."
The free entrée will be served from 5pm until 9pm. Komsa is asking those interested to make reservations.
