Michael Fulmer and the Tigers lose to the Rangers at Comerica

Austin Bibens-Dirkx and three-relievers combined on a four-hitter as the Rangers shutout the Tigers 3-0 in Detroit.

Bibens-Dirkx pitched into the sixth and gave up three hits to earn the win and Keone Kela locked down his 22nd save.

Shin-Soo Choo extended his on-base streak to 47-games which is a new club record.

Tigers' starter Michael Fulmer surrendered three runs across seven frames in the tough-luck loss.  Detroit has lost four of its last six.

The Tigers open up a six-game road trip tonight in Tampa Bay against the Rays.

Francisco Liriano will get the start in the opener of the three-game set.  Detroit will also visit Houston this weekend for the final series before the All-Star break.
