There is a tentative agreement for residential garbage collectors in Windsor.
Unifor Local 444 says it has struck a deal with Green for Life Environmental for its members who work at GFL.
A date and time for the ratification vote has yet to be determined.
The 44 GFL employees were looking for their first collective agreement, and in November, voted 78 per cent in favour of strike action.
The main issue during negotiations was wages, as workers have been earning between $16 and $21 an hour.
The City of Windsor hired GFL eight years ago to collect garbage as part of a contract that continues until 2024.
A tentative agreement has been reached between Unifor Local 444 members employed at GFL Environmental Inc. located in Windsor. The date and location for a ratification vote will follow.
