A tentative contract agreement has been reached for employees at Chatham Cascades Casino.
Unifor Local 444 and the employer have been at the bargaining table since Monday morning, with a strike deadline of Wednesday at 11:59 p.m.
On November 15, 97 per cent of the 125 employees at the casino voted in favour to strike.
Chatham Cascades workers were specifically looking for higher wages to keep up with the cost of living, and the rising cost of inflation.
Now that a tentative deal has been made, a ratification vote will be taking place on Friday, November 24 at 9 a.m. or 2:30 p.m.
Employees will need to go to Moose Lodge located at 850 Richmond Street in Chatham to vote.
While details on the deal haven't been released, the union was looking to follow a pattern agreement set by Starlight Casino Point Edward, in Point Edward.
Point Edward members ratified the deal voting 65.8 per cent in favour.
