Tecumseh Mayor Gary McNamara is angry after vandalism was discovered at a town park.
Sometime over the weekend, McAuliffe Park off Lesperance Rd. was damaged by someone driving a large vehicle through and around the sports fields.
McNamara calls it a total lack of regard for quality of public spaces.
Director of Parks and Recreation Services Paul Anthony says repairs could be costly.
"It could be anywhere from $5,000 to $10,000 depending on the severity again of what we have to bring in as far as materials, there is labour costs obviously," says Anthony. "It is hopefully that our own forces can undertake the task."
He says the snow may have helped to minimize the damage.
"The tracks are in the snow, some areas there was a little bit of frost so the penetration for the tire tracks wasn't as deep, some areas it was a little bit deeper so we will review it."
The town is asking anyone who witnessed anything suspicious to give the OPP or Crime Stoppers a call.
Parks in Windsor, Lakeshore, Essex and Amherstburg have also experience similar damages.
