Tecumseh council is hoping to stop an ongoing issue before it escalates.
Council is holding a public meeting Tuesday afternoon prior to its regular council meeting to deal with vehicles parking on a pathway near Pentilly Road across from Beach Grove Golf & Country Club.
Councillor Andrew Dowie says it's an issue council recently heard about.
He says he's surprised drivers are parking on the pathway which is located on the east side of the road.
"I mean I don't think it's difficult to see that the path is not intended for vehicular traffic or for parking," says Dowie. "It's intended for people to walk on and cycle just like every multi use path in North America."
Councillor Bill Altenhoff had brought the issue to council's attention before adminstration made the recommendation to restrict parking.
The meeting begins at 5:30pm inside council chambers.
