Change takes effect January 1st
If you live in Tecumseh and don't have a hard-sided garbage container with a lid, you'll need to get one.
Starting January 1st, hard-sided containers are mandatory for curb-side pick-up.
A new bylaw has been approved in a bid to crackdown on a growing rodent problem by eliminating a major food source.
Any trash not in a hard-sided container will be left at the curb and the homeowner may be subject to a fine.
