Residents of Amherstburg might see a bump in property taxes.
Council tabled the 2019 draft budget Monday night which includes a proposed 1.93% tax increase.
According to the report, the tax bump works out to an additional $78 per year on a home assessed at $250,000.
The town's capital budget could rise by 2.65% — the report attributes much of that increase to infrastructure projects.
A copy of the budget will be released to the public Tuesday and will be revisited by council in the coming months.
