The new Tecumseh town council is getting ready to start dealing with the 2019 budget.
The draft document was tabled Tuesday night with a proposed 3.1% tax hike — up from 2018's 2.1% increase.
The proposed increase amounts to $104 on a home valued at $250,000.
Council will have the holiday season to go over the document before deliberations on January 15.
The final 2019 budget is expected to be passed at council's January 22 meeting.
