A 32-year-old Windsor man is facing a list of charges.
Windsor police say on Sunday (July 23rd) around 2:30am, officers were in the area of Ouellette Avenue and Wyandotte Street and heard a man yelling and noticed a large group of people running from the area.
Officers went to the scene and saw the man swinging his arms wildly and yelling obscenities.
Police say he then began to strike a telephone booth with a large butcher knife.
Officers ordered him to drop the knife but he did not listen and was later tased.
Police say while he was being handcuffed, he continued to yell at the officers and threatened to kill one of them.
He was sent to hospital for minor injuries and was later brought to police headquarters.
Ricky Ofori-Mensah is charged with possession of a dangerous weapon, uttering a threat to cause death and breach of probation.
Police have seized the knife.
