Multiple charges laid against a Windsor man after police catch up to him as he fled

The theft of tools from a vehicle has led to a long list of charges against a Windsor man.

Police say on Wednesday of this week, a man was doing construction work at a home on Lublin Avenue when another man stole some tools from his truck. The suspect then fled in a rented vehicle.

The victim gave chase and tried to approach the man at the intersection of Lauzon Parkway and Lauzon Line but the vehicle sped through a red light and collided with a grey minivan. The suspect then pulled a bicycle from his vehicle and attempted to escape but was located and arrested by police a short time later.

Police say both the bike and the suspect's vehicle were stolen as were a number of items found inside.

A 30-year-old Windsor man faces several charges including theft under $5000, possession of stolen property and possession of suspected methamphetamine.
