Windsor police say a 62-year-old man was arrested less than an hour after a fire was intentionally set at a commercial building in downtown Windsor.
Officers were called to the 100 block of Wyandotte Street East shortly after 7:30 a.m. Monday. Investigators allege a man broke a window, lit an item and threw it into the building.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze with damage estimated at about $25,000. No injuries were reported.
Police reviewed surveillance footage, identified a suspect and arrested him about 50 minutes later in the area.
Police say a torch lighter and a piece of magazine paper were seized during the arrest.
The 62-year-old is charged with arson causing property damage and possession of an incendiary device for arson.
