A Leamington woman is charged
Ontario provincial police have arrested a suspect after a collection plate theft from a church in Leamington.
Around 12 p.m. on April 7, police were called about a theft from a church on Fox St. in the town.
Investigators were told someone entered the church, took the collection plate and ran away.
Minutes after arriving, officers were able to locate a suspect and make an arrest.
A 40-year-old Leamington woman is charged with theft under $5,000 and breach of probation.
Police report that the majority of the money that was taken has been recovered.
