Windsor police have now released images of two suspects wanted for a downtown stabbing.
The case involves a man being stabbing downtown while attempting to intervene in a potentially dangerous situation.
Officers responded to a call around 1:15 a.m. Monday, August 6 in the area of Ouellette Avenue and Park Street.
Police say a 22-year-old man was being treated by paramedics for a stab wound and was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
According to police, the victim saw two men following another man in a threatening manner.
The victim asked if the person was okay and one of the suspects pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim.
Sergeant Steve Betteridge says even though the victim suffered survivable injuries, it was still a serious incident.
"They were non-life threatening injuries and that being said anytime you have an issue with a stabbing, that is a very serious incident," says Sergeant Betteridge.
