It raised 21,000 in the May 11 fundraiser
Crime Stoppers of Windsor-Essex has raised a lot of funds to help solve area crimes.
During the Bail or Jail fundraiser on May 11, it raised more than $21,000, up from $13,600 in last year's events.
18 people were arrested ranging from the CEO at Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare to members of the OPP, LaSalle police, Windsor police and staff at Tecumseh Mall, with a goal of raising funds to get them out of jail.
The event changed locations this year and was only one day.
Crime Stoppers Program Co-ordinator Amanda Allen says the changes were very successful.
