A $10,000 cheque for Family Respite Services will help kids with disabilities stay active.
The funds come from the GoodLife Kids Foundation and will support the Super Saturday Program which sees Family Respite staff help kids to play games, complete crafts and enjoy a swim.
The activities are held at LaSalle's Vollmer Complex and Windsor's Forest Glade Community Centre.
Family Respite Services Executive Director Cathy Shanahan says the money will support the 2017-2018 edition of the program.
"This grant is really aimed at helping kids be active in the community because that's what GoodLife Kids Foundation is all about and that's really a belief of Family Respite Services too, to help kids be active and involved in the community," says Shanahan.

Dayle Parungao is the assistant manager of GoodLife on Manning Rd. and stresses the annual grant is a way to help kids stay active.
"GoodLife Kids Foundation's vision is to provide every Canadian child the opportunity to live a fit and healthy, good life and we do raise money annually through the Spin For Kids event and this year it's happening November of 2018," says Parungao.
The Super Saturday Program has a total of six staff that help kids participate in weekly activities from September to May.
