The celebration of International Day of the Girls in Windsor is being called a huge success.
There was a sold out breakfast with over 200 people and a flag raising at Windsor City Hall.
The city has proclaimed this as Dreamer Day.
We Build a Dream Founder and President Nour Hachem is pleased with how the idea is being received.

She says it's all about opening doors for young women.
"The day in Windsor has been officially proclaimed as Dreamer Day in the hopes of supporting the career ambitions of young women in pursuing career pathways in the skilled trades science technology engineering and math and law enforcement"
Hachem says the first women to participate in the program four years ago are now giving back.
"They're coming back as panelists, are coming back as mentors or role models in the skilled trades or STEM occupations. Also we're finding the communication and support from industry increasing"
She says Windsor is a leader when it comes to providing opportunities for young women.
"I think that just speaks volumes to what can happen and the positive change that can happen in Windsor and I wouldn't want to celebrate International Day of the Girl anywhere but here and we're so thankful to the City of Windsor for proclaiming International Day of the Girl as Dreamer Day here in Windsor"
Hachem says the Build A Dream idea is spreading to other communities across Ontario and she hopes it eventually goes across Canada.
