A 55-year-old Chatham man has been charged after swinging a golf club at passing vehicles.
Chatham-Kent police say officers responded to a call Wednesday afternoon about a suspicious man on Riverview Drive in Chatham, swinging a golf club at vehicles and yelling at people.
According to police, the man was located on Irwin Street and continued to swing the club and refused to drop it.
Police say officers used a stun gun after the man raised the club in an aggressive manner.
He has been charged with being in possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The man was released from custody and will appear in court in August.
