More than 730 toys were collected this year

Christmas will be brighter for hundreds of children thanks to the third annual 'Stuff A Bus' event in Leamington.

Residents have donated cash and hundreds of toys that have been packed into a school bus and will now be donated to the Children's Aid Society.

In a show of support, spokesperson Carlos Delgado lived on the bus for two solid days. "They think I am crazy, some of them love it and they love the sacrifice. Other people I still do not think they are processing it right correctly to be honest with you, but yeah I sleep on the bus."

"The community support has been overwhelming" says Delgado. " I love Leamington, I love friends of mine that came all of the way from Kitchener, a lady that came all the way from Sarnia. Anybody that helps donate, even if it is a dollar, trust me I will pinch that dollar so tight and turn it into five dollars. I will find a way to spend it. Thank you to everybody that is all I can ask for."

730 toys have been collected this year, topping last year's number by more than 100.
